About Mac Brunson
Dr. Donald McCall “Mac” Brunson, Jr. is Senior Pastor at Valleydale Church in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated with a Ph.D. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2021 and holds a D.Min. from Southwestern, which he received in 1991, along with an M.Div. (1985). He also holds an honorary doctorate of divinity from Dallas Baptist University. He is an adjunct professor for New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Brunson has published several books, including his newest, God is For You, and most recently a video series for Grace Ministries called Wisdom 101: Walking with Jesus in a Wacky World (2023). He is married to Debora Claire DeVore and has three married children and 16 grandchildren.
