Jesus through Eastern Eyes to release February 2020
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Apr. 11, 2018 — Ravi Zacharias, president of Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, and Abdu Murray, North American Director with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, have signed on to publish a co-authored book, Jesus through Eastern Eyes, with Zondervan in February 2020.
In the West Jesus is usually seen through one lens: that of Western reasoning and linear thought. As the world becomes smaller and more people are brought to our door, a broader view of Jesus is needed—one that can be grasped by Easterners and can penetrate the hearts and imaginations of postmodern Westerners.
In Jesus through Eastern Eyes, Ravi Zacharias and Abdu Murray will capture a revitalized gospel message through an Eastern lens, revealing its power and sharing the truth about Jesus in a compelling and winsome light. Incorporating story, honor, vivid imagery, sacrifice, and rewards, Jesus through Eastern Eyes calls readers (both Eastern and Western alike) to a fresh encounter with the living and restless Jesus.

About Ravi Zacharias: Ravi Zacharias is president of Ravi Zacharias International Ministries. He received his Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and has been honored by the conferring of a Doctor of Divinity degree from Houghton College, a Doctor of Laws degree from Asbury College and a Doctor of Divinity degree from Tyndale College and Seminary, Toronto. He has been a visiting scholar at Cambridge University, where he studied moralist philosophers and literature of the Romantic era. About Abdu Murray: Abdu Murray is North American Director with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries and is the author of two books, including his latest, Saving Truth: Finding Meaning and Clarity in a Post-Truth World (Zondervan, May 2018). For most of his life, Abdu was a proud Muslim who studied the Qur’an and Islam. After a nine-year investigation into the historical, philosophical, and scientific underpinnings of the major world religions and views, Abdu discovered that the historic Christian faith can answer the questions of the mind and the longings of the heart. Abdu has spoken to diverse international audiences and has participated in debates and dialogues across the globe. He has appeared as a guest on numerous radio and television programs all over the world. Abdu holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School. As an attorney, Abdu was named several times in Best Lawyers in America and Michigan Super Lawyer. Abdu is the Scholar in Residence of Christian Thought and Apologetics at the Josh McDowell Institute of Oklahoma Wesleyan University.
