SPCK Group has promoted Lauren Windle to Publishing Director, effective from 1st January 2026.
Windle joined SPCK Group in 2024 as Commissioning Editor. Prior to this, she was a TEDx speaker and freelance journalist, heading up the digital opinion section at Woman Alive magazine and writing for titles including Vogue, HuffPost, Marie Claire, Red, Mail Online, The Daily Star and Church Times.
SPCK has been active since 1698 and is the UK’s third-oldest publishing house. Under CEO Sam Richardson, the company merged with IVP UK in 2015 and acquired Lion Hudson in 2021, becoming the largest Christian publisher in the country.
Windle has published three books with SPCK: Notes on Love: Being Single and Dating in a Marriage Obsessed Church (June 2021), Notes on Feminism: Being a Woman in a Church Led by Men, (March 2024), and Drawing as Prayer: Connect with God Through the Bible and Sketching (October 2025).
Windle will continue to report to Wendy Grisham, Deputy CEO of SPCK Group.
