The Daily Grace Co. is pleased to announce the promotion of Spencer Valeri to chief operating officer, effective July 20.
Spencer joined Daily Grace in 2022 after spending over a decade in pastoral ministry. His love for discipleship, reading, and scholarship prepared him to spend the last four years at Daily Grace in product development and editorial. Valeri graduated from Western Michigan University before earning his two master’s degrees from Baptist Bible Seminary (M.A. and M.Div.). Most recently, Valeri earned a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Amberton University, and obtained his SHRM Certified Professional credential.
This promotion marks a pivotal moment for both Valeri and Daily Grace. Daily Grace is a young but fast-growing publishing company. Founded in 2014 by Jeremy and Kristin Schmucker at their kitchen table, Daily Grace now employs approximately fifty people and distributes more than 1.3 million books per year. Valeri is the first non-owner in the company’s history to join its C-suite. In his new role, he will directly oversee four of the company’s six departments: human resources, operations, editorial, and production.
“Over the last four years, working with Spencer has been a joy. He is strategic, thoughtful, and humble, but above all else, he truly loves Jesus,” said Jeremy Schmucker, president and co-owner of The Daily Grace Co. “Spencer is uniquely qualified professionally, personally, and spiritually to help lead Daily Grace into our next season of growth and ministry outreach.”
“It has been such a joy to work at The Daily Grace Co. alongside the Schmuckers and a team of people who work diligently to teach every person the beauty of Jesus and the truth of Scripture. Our mission is incredibly important, and I consider it a great privilege to be able to serve this team,” said Valeri. “I am particularly thankful for the responsibility entrusted to me in this new role, and I cannot wait to see how God is going to continue to use The Daily Grace Co. to lead people to experience Jesus.”
