April 2025 | LISLE, IL — InterVarsity Press (IVP) is excited to announce the return of The Disrupters podcast featuring special guests Christine Caine, Phil Vischer, Hosanna Wong, Tod Bolsinger, and more. The first episode releases on Wednesday, April 9, and the host for this sixth season on the topic of leadership will be Nicole Massie Martin, IVP author and Chief Operating Officer at Christianity Today.
Massie Martin said, “I am THRILLED to be part of The Disrupters this season because these conversations are so relevant for the times in which we live. People are crying out for new forms of leadership. They have been so wounded by the principles of the past, and they are yearning for leadership that brings healing and hope. I sincerely believe that as they listen to this series, they will hear the voice of God calling them into a new season of restoration, revival, and resurrection!”
Each season of The Disrupters has asked a specific question about disruption. Seasons 1 and 2 of The Disrupters asked the question, “What does it mean to disrupt the church?” Seasons 3 and 4 asked the question, “What does it mean to disrupt culture?” Season 5 asked the question, “What does it mean to disrupt ourselves—and the noise?” during an election season?
In season 6 Nicole Massie Martin will ask the question, “What does it mean to disrupt leadership?”
Massie Martin will reveal healthy leadership disruptions that lead to flourishing in the home, the workplace, the church, and the world. In these insightful conversations, Nicole and her guests will inspire listeners to crucify their leadership idols and nail outdated leadership practices to the cross.
“I hope listeners are challenged to think differently about how we can lead and live more surrendered and sacrificial lives for the sake of Christ,” said Massie Martin. “I hope they will hear words of encouragement and see visions of hope, knowing that crucifixion always leads to resurrection and temporal surrender always leads to eternal reward.”
The Disrupters podcast will once again feature stories of positive disruption from both emerging and trusted voices within Christianity. These authors, pastors, scholars, activists, and leaders tell their honest stories about the experiences that have challenged their thinking about faith, the church, and their calling in life.
