NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 16, 2025) — Thomas Nelson Gift and Zondervan Gift, imprints of HarperCollins Christian Publishing, are pleased to announce the addition of three editorial leaders: Virginia (Gini) Wietecha, Karissa Taylor, and Chelsea Collins. All three will report to Stephanie Newton, Vice President and Publisher for Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Gift.
Virginia (Gini) Wietecha joins as Senior Acquisitions Editor for the Gift division, bringing more than 20 years of editorial experience. She was a founding team member of DaySpring Publishing, where she oversaw author relationships and the editorial production of more than 400 books, journals, study guides, and Bibles over the past eight years. Gini is known for her discerning editorial eye and deep passion for developing content that draws readers closer to the awe, beauty, and mystery of God.
Karissa Taylor has been named Acquisitions Editor for Thomas Nelson Gift and Zondervan Gift. Over the past 10 years, Karissa has played a key role in developing bestselling devotionals, journals, children’s books, and gift books, working alongside authors such as Max Lucado, Sadie Robertson Huff, Louie Giglio, Levi Lusko, Bob Goff, Candace Cameron Bure, Annie F. Downs, and Granger Smith. In her new role, she will continue to acquire and shape spiritually rich, culturally relevant, and visually engaging titles.
Chelsea Collins transitions into the role of Managing Editor for Thomas Nelson Gift, Zondervan Gift, and Harper Celebrate after previously serving in the Spanish Publishing Division. Since joining HCCP in 2020, Chelsea has brought calm leadership, strong editorial instincts, and a meticulous approach to every phase of the publishing process.
“We’re so glad to have Gini, Karissa, and Chelsea stepping into these roles,” said Newton. “Our mission is to create resources that reflect God’s truth in tangible and inviting ways, and with this team in place, we’re energized for what’s ahead.”
