Littleton, CO (December 1, 2025)—William Carey Publishing (WCP) is pleased to announce that two of its books were honored in the 2025 The Gospel Coalition Book Awards. The winning titles are Sacred Courage and Perfect Peace Child.
“We are so excited to have two winners in The Gospel Coalition 2025 Book Awards,” said Vivian Doub, director of publishing at WCP. “It has been an honor to partner with authors Betsy Kirk and Steve Richardson in bringing their stories to readers. They were a joy to work with. We also want to thank Sarah Nunnally for the beautiful illustrations that brought Perfect Peace Child to life.”
Sacred Courage: Thinking Biblically About Fear and Anxiety by Betsy Kirk won in the Christian Living category. Drawing from her own experiences wrestling with fear, Kirk guides readers through Scripture and the wisdom of believers throughout the ages to help them understand the nature of their anxieties and learn to live with a deeper trust in God.
Receiving the award of distinction in the children’s category was Perfect Peace Child: A True Story of How One Tribe Found Forever Peace by Steve Richardson with Maxine McDonald, illustrated by Sarah Nunnally. This colorful picture book revisits the classic missionary story first told by Steve’s father, Don Richardson, and introduces a new generation of readers to its powerful message that God’s love can bring peace anywhere in the world.
