(Nashville, TN) May 25, 2017—W Publishing, an imprint of Thomas Nelson, today announced Megan Jayne Dobson as its new associate publisher.
Dobson has been with the HarperCollins Christian Publishing (HCCP) sales organization for seven years, most recently as director for the mass market channel. In her previous sales role, Dobson worked with accounts like Target, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Costco, and their distributors. She has spearheaded many successful retail campaigns for the company, helping to coordinate between the retailer, author, agent, and publishing team.
During her tenure at HCCP, Dobson has helped foster relationships with the country’s largest retail chains, continuing to create new programs for retailers to help consumers discover HCCP products. Additionally, Dobson has formulated new partnerships resulting in new distribution opportunities.
As associate publisher for W Publishing, the imprint behind the New York Times bestsellers like Heaven is For Real by Todd and Sonja Burpo, Same Kind of Different As Me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore, and most recently, The Magnolia Story by HGTV’s super-couple Chip and Joanna Gaines, This Life I Live by Rory Feek, and Is This the End? by Dr. David Jeremiah, Dobson will help lead the overall editorial vision and business strategy.
