MAY 1, 2025, WHEATON, Ill.—Crossway is pleased to announce that Mark Vroegop’s Waiting isn’t a Waste: The Surprising Comfort of Trusting God in the Uncertainties of Life has won the 2025 Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) Christian Book award in the Christian Living category.

Waiting Isn’t a Waste calls believers to resist the human urge for control and lean on Christ for comfort while they wait for the uncertainties of life to unfold. Vroegop explores what it means to wait on God through six important characteristics:

- Thoughtfully: Waiting Is Biblical

- Intentionally: Waiting Is Commanded
- Collectively: Waiting Is Relational
This is Vroegop’s second book to win an ECPA award. His first book, Dark Clouds, Deep Mercy (Crossway, 2020), was named the ECPA’s 2020 Christian Book of the Year®.
