PRH Christian Publishing Group is celebrating its expanded partnership with New York Times and #1 ECPA bestselling author of Practicing the Way and Ruthless Elimination of Hurry, John Mark Comer, who has signed with WaterBrook for four new trade titles on topics relating to spiritual formation, discipleship, and contemplative spirituality.
The first book in this exciting new deal is scheduled for publication in early 2028. World rights were acquired on exclusive by Tina Constable, EVP, Business Development, PRH Christian Publishing Group and Campbell Wharton, SVP and Publisher PRH Christian, from Mike Salisbury, Curtis Yates, and Matt Yates at Yates & Yates, who represent Comer.
“It is an amazing gift to be in partnership with John Mark Comer, who is one of today’s most influential writers. His words have transformed lives across generations and multiple denominations. He and the team at Practicing the Way are impacting the Church on a global scale, and we couldn’t be more thrilled about stewarding the next books from John Mark into the next decade,” says Campbell Wharton, SVP & Publisher.
“My heart is full of gratitude to God for the chance to do what I so love – write books about life with Jesus,” comments Comer. “And I remain deeply honored to work with the team at Waterbrook: their wisdom, experience, and vision inspire me to bring my best to the table. I look forward to our coming projects with great joy.”
WaterBrook is the proud publisher of Comer’s three most recent trade books, which have collectively sold 1.6 million units in all formats across the US and Canada. WaterBrook also acts as the publisher for the Practicing the Way ministry, releasing each of the nine Practices outlined in Comer’s book, Practicing the Way, along with the Companion Course Guide to the Practicing the Way video curriculum. An untitled trade book from Comer’s current contract with WaterBrook is set to release in Fall 2026.
Comer’s Practicing the Way recently won ECPA’s Christian Book of the Year® Award and is also a finalist for the Dallas Willard Research Book Award. It has made 23 appearances on the New York Times Best Sellers List, four of those weeks in 2025, and continues to appear monthly since its release on ECPA’s Top 50 Bestseller List. It was the #1 book on the ECPA Christian bestseller list for February 2025.
