IVP welcomes Nilwona Nowlin as Associate Editor
InterVarsity Press has announced that Nilwona Nowlin will serve as its new associate editor. Cindy Bunch, IVP Vice President, Editorial, said, “Nilwona’s breadth of ministry experience, professional training, and wide networks will be an asset to IVP. PW — Final sales numbers for 2021 from the Association of American Publishers show a 12.3% increase in industry sales, with total sales hitting $29.33 billion, up from $26.1 billion in 2020, and marked improvement from the previous four years. Sales of religious presses rose 12.9% last year, to $1.42 billion. It was the first increase since 2018.

ECPA PubU offers programming for design professionals, Nov. 16-17 in Nashville
Faceout Studio’s Torrey Sharp has curated six sessions for industry design professionals, presented Nov. 16-17 at Lipscomb University in Nashville. They include: Books as Brands with Matt Lehman (Matt Lehman Studios); Design Huddle on Big Topics with Kristen Andrews (Hachette) and Torrey Sharp; Perfectly Pitched with Ashley Spear and Victor Huckabee (5by5); What Makes Type Driven Designs Effective with Chandler Saunders (Passion); Practical Creativity & Other Oxymorons with Tim Green (Faceout); Finding Common Ground Across Generational Gaps with Jose & Nikolle Reyes (Metaleap).
PubU will also include the 10th anniversary celebration of the Top Shelf Book Cover Award program, with the winners announced in four categories during the opening session.
