Dr. Emily Smith to open ECPA Leadership Summit with vision for publishing’s impact

Dr. Emily Smith of the Duke Global Health Institute will open the ECPA Leadership Summit, April 28–29 in Chicago, with a powerful session grounded in our shared mission as Christian publishers. Drawing from her book, The Science of the Good Samaritan, she will share compelling stories and practical insights that challenge us to think bigger about loving our neighbors—and to reimagine the impact of our work in the world. Her message will set the tone for two days of leadership, vision, and collaboration around this year’s theme, “The Future of Christian Publishing: Word, Work, Wonder.”

Christy Award® submission period for fiction opens March 1st

Nominations for The Christy Award® will be accepted March 1–31 across nine fiction categories. Eligible titles include works of fiction written from a Christian worldview and published—traditionally or independently—between March 2025 and March 2026. Authors and publishers may also opt to have entries considered for the program’s Amplify Award. Christy finalists and winners receive national recognition and promotional visibility across multiple retail and media channels.
