PubU Online resumed this morning with the first Tuesday Marketing webinar presented by Caleb Peavy, founder of Unmutable™ on “Creating Book Marketing Plans.” Nearly 100 industry marketers attended and participated in a robust Q&A, moderated by Michele Misiak (Revell). Tomorrow’s session will debut the Editorial track’s first Wednesday session with Estee Zandee on “Editing for Inclusion,” followed by Thursday’s session in the Data-Delivery-Workflow track on audiobook creation and workflow. Registration for this year’s month-long webinar series exceeds the number of attendees who have attended the in-person event — with nearly 300 signed up so far. Last week’s recordings are available to those who register so it’s not too late to register and still receive the rich content and connection that PubU Online has to offer.
Christian Book Award® submissions underway until September 30 at reduced pricing
ECPA has announced a price decrease for entries into 2021 Christian Book Award® program in light of financial adjustments publishers are making in response to the impact of Covid-19. The nomination period for 12 categories are September 1-30 for books published between October 2019 and October 2020.

Registration opens for Art of Writing webinars and Christy Award webcasts
Registration is now open for the Art of Writing online conference, a five-part series of weekly Thursday evening webinars starting on October 8, and priced at $79 for the entire bundle. The first session will feature New York Times bestselling authors LISA WINGATE (Before We Were Yours, The Book Of Lost Friends) and WILLIAM KENT KRUEGER (Ordinary Grace, This Tender Land). They will present together in a session on “The Power of Story to Change Hearts and Minds” on October 8. Additionally, Lisa Wingate will be the keynote speaker for the Christy Award Winners Webcast on November 12.
