(Nashville, TN) April 26, 2021—Today HarperCollins Christian Publishing (HCCP) announced Matthew McGhee as the associate publisher for the Spanish division, which includes Vida and Grupo Nelson.
In this role, McGhee will oversee the editorial acquisition, development, and list management of all Spanish resources published under the Vida and Grupo Nelson imprints, which includes Spanish adult fiction and non-fiction, kids, curriculum, and reference/academic. He will acquire Spanish authors, as well as work with HCCP trade publishing groups to translate products.
McGhee previously worked for Ligonier Ministries, the teaching fellowship of Dr. R.C. Sproul, where he managed Spanish, Portuguese, and French outreach. During his tenure, he launched the Ligonier Library imprint focused on publishing Ligonier Ministry products in non-English languages and led the effort to publish more than 25 titles in Spanish. He also served as project and editorial director of La Biblia de Estudio de La Reforma, the Spanish-language version of the Reformation Study Bible.
McGhee received his Bachelor of Arts in public relations and minor in Spanish from North Carolina State University and holds a Master of Arts in Christian ministry from Shepherds Theological Seminary.
