IVP launches The Teach Your Children Well Podcast

June 16, 2025 by Sheri Toomb

JUNE 2025 | LISLE, IL—InterVarsity Press (IVP) is excited to announce the launch of its first parenting podcast hosted by Sarah Cowan Johnson, award-winning author of Teach Your Children Well.

The first episode of The Teach Your Children Well Podcast kicks off on June 23 as Sarah sits down with Justin Whitmel Earley, author of Habits of the Household, to discuss this question: How do we help our kids love and follow Jesus in today’s cultural climate?

In this ten-episode podcast, Sarah and hear guests explore how the biblical story offers wisdom and good news for the twenty-first-century parent. Each episode examines two approaches to guiding our kids through difficult topics: one informed by the world’s culture and one informed by the biblical story. Through enriching conversations and practical discipleship ideas, Sarah and her guests unravel the differences between these two approaches and discuss how our families can shift from the cultural narrative in pursuit of a gospel-oriented one.

“In a world that doesn’t know Jesus and his love, parenting in the way of Jesus often feels like swimming upstream,” Sarah said. “In our cultural moment, how should we think about technology, sexuality, busyness, achievement culture, and even the definition of the ‘good life’? We sometimes flail and flounder amid powerful—and even compelling—cultural narratives. While I can’t magically change the currents, through this podcast I hope to invite listeners to swim alongside one another, gaining wisdom and insight from brilliant voices who remind us that this upstream journey is not only good and beautiful but also vital—for our kids, and also for our own souls.”

In the trailer for The Teach Your Children Podcast, which is available now, Sarah shares her heart for helping parents and provides a sneak peek at some of the tools, perspectives, and practices she and her guests will offer for discipling the next generation.

New devotional from Demi-Leigh Tebow offers a roadmap to confidence in Christ—not culture

June 16, 2025 by Sheri Toomb

The new book equips readers to tune out the noise and tune into God

NASHVILLE, TN – June 16, 2025 – Author, speaker, entrepreneur, philanthropist and former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Tebow is calling women back to their true identity with the release of her new devotional, Knowing Who You Are Because of Who God Is: 100 Days to Unbreakable Faith, available September 16, 2025, from Thomas Nelson.

In a culture that constantly defines worth by appearance, achievement, and approval, Demi-Leigh Tebow offers a different path—one rooted in Scripture, not social media. This 100-day devotional is a powerful guide to help women overcome insecurity, silence comparison, and walk confidently in the truth of who God says they are.

Structured for daily impact, each entry includes a Bible verse, a short reflection, and a prayer to help readers re-center their minds and hearts on God’s character—and, in turn, their own identity. Weekly themes include topics such as joy, purpose, courage, vulnerability, and value.

“There’s so much noise in the world telling us who to be, how to look, and what success should mean,” says Tebow. “This book is about stepping away from all that and stepping into God’s truth. You can only know who you truly are when you understand who He is.”

Drawing from her own life experiences—including moments of doubt, pressure, public scrutiny, and being a new mom —Tebow delivers a voice that is both relatable and faith-filled. She challenges women to trade insecurity for spiritual clarity and to trust God’s voice above all others.

Knowing Who You Are Because of Who God Is is more than a devotional—it’s an invitation to live from a place of peace, purpose, and God-given confidence.

Demi-Leigh can speak to themes such as:

  • Finding confidence by rooting your identity in Christ
  • Navigating insecurity and pressure through a faith-centered perspective
  • Overcoming comparison and cultural expectations in the digital age
  • Creating space for spiritual clarity in a busy, noisy world
  • Building intentional daily habits that foster peace and purpose
  • Her personal journey from public platforms to faith-driven purpose
  • Encouraging women to live boldly, authentically, and anchored in truth

The book is available for pre-order now and will be released in hardcover, eBook, and audiobook formats.

ACU Press Releases Wilson McCoy’s Imagining All Generations

June 9, 2025 by Sheri Toomb

Abilene, TX — Many churches today face worry and concern over their collective future. One tragic consequence is that growing anxiety can turn inward on communities of faith. A subtle distancing and dividing can occur, often happening along generational lines. Us-versus-Them thinking morphs into Old-versus-Young. Instead of a culture of generation to generation, churches are shaped and formed more by a culture of generation versus generation.

Imagining All Generations by Wilson McCoy (June 2025) offers a better, more faithful way forward by remembering our identity as the generational people of God. This volume features nineteen authors from around the world, providing fresh theological reflection, innovative practical wisdom, and a unified call for all churches to move into a more intergenerational future by answering four key questions:

  • What theology and theory support an intergenerational vision of the church?
  • What are researchers and practitioners learning about how to meaningfully bring together different generations in communities of faith?
  • How can churches better share faith among various age groups within their congregation?
  • How might we reimagine the worship assembly as a time and place where every generation brings a valuable contribution?

Imagining All Generations is an essential library of intergenerational thinking and practical ideas. Like any good library, it gives you the opportunity to explore, to delve, and be surprised, enlightened, and challenged. You might not agree with everything in it, but that’s a key strength of this book and the InterGenerate conference it is based on; they are evolving conversations between diverse perspectives on a common theme, the theme of how to bring generations together in life, learning, and worship.”
—Gareth Crispin, Commissioning Editor (Young People), Premier Christian Media, UK; adjunct lecturer and tutor at several theological colleges around the world; member of the executive committee of the International Association for the Study of Youth Ministry

Wilson McCoy (MDiv, DMin) is a minister, author, professor, and church consultant. He serves on the leadership team of the InterGenerate Conference, a movement of Christians committed to bringing together all generations of the church. When not experimenting in the kitchen or listening to music, he loves spending time with his wife and two daughters. You can find faith formation resources and learn more about Wilson’s writing, speaking, and intergenerational consulting at his website: drwilsonmccoy.com.

Founder of Protect Young Eyes signs multi book deal with Zondervan

June 9, 2025 by Sheri Toomb

Digital Safety Expert Chris McKenna Partners with Zondervan, Debut Release Anticipated June 2026

The founder of Protect Young Eyes, an organization equipping families to protect kids online, Chris McKenna has signed a multi-book deal with Zondervan. McKenna’s partnership with Zondervan includes the release of one adult trade, scheduled for June 2026, followed by two children’s books.

McKenna is a respected digital safety voice, creating practical resources for families and schools. At a time when parents often feel unprepared to prepare and protect their children online with the right tools and words, McKenna’s adult trade book will equip parents to feel confident guiding their child through the online world with a framework to tame the tech and reclaim family. This essential book will teach parents five practical habits that wrap children in protection, build Digital Trust, and unlock digital parenting superpowers.

“Parents are looking for an expert voice who can provide both a framework for understanding the benefits and problems tech offers and who can offer specific steps to take to protect children and families” said Webster Younce, Zondervan Books’ Vice President and Executive Editor. “Chris McKenna is that voice, and we are thrilled to partner with him to provide families with the resources they are looking for.”

McKenna’s impactful 2019 testimony before the U.S. Senate initiated a series of hearings to further online child protection policy. Protect Young Eyes, won the 2020 Dignity Defense Award from the National Center on Sexual Exploitation and the 2024 Child Safety Award from The Phase Alliance. He is a technical advisor to AngelQ AI and works closely with digital safety advocates and legislators to craft policies that reign in abusive technologies. As a representative of the Human Change Movement, McKenna spoke at the 2024 and 2025 World Economic Forum.

“Partnering with Zondervan is taking the mission of Protect Young Eyes even closer into the hands of families looking to prevent online exploitation,” says McKenna. “The upcoming books will provide accessible tools, tips and guidance for kids and caregivers to provide a comfortable environment to discuss digital safety.”

McKenna’s children’s titles are anticipated to release in the summer of 2027. A picture book for ages 4-8 and a book for ages 8-12 will focus on introducing young readers to the topic of digital safety and give children and their caregivers practical tools and strategies for navigating the technological landscape.

“These books will be a tremendous resource for both kids and caregivers,” said Katherine Easter, Acquisitions Editor for Zonderkidz. “Chris’s immense expertise and accessible approach make him the perfect person to speak into this incredibly important topic.”

McKenna is represented by Tom Dean of A Drop of Ink Literary based in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Jon Tyson returns to WaterBrook with two-book deal

June 9, 2025 by Sheri Toomb

JUNE 2, 2025 — Jon Tyson, award-winning author and pastor of Church of the City, New York, brings his pastoral heart and theological clarity to the problem of exhaustion and its impact on our spiritual lives to WaterBrook in a two-book deal starting with The Antidote for Exhaustion: The Power You Need for the Life You Want.

As one of the foremost voices in the spiritual formation movement, Tyson offers a helpful framework for why so many feel burned out: it’s a disconnect between the chaotic world around us and the deep inner world God wants to create in us. The solution he proposes is not trying harder to earn God’s favor, but rather to go deeper with God—which is the only path to stability, power, and peace.

“We are delighted to welcome Jon Tyson back to WaterBrook,” said Campbell Wharton, SVP and Publisher, PRH Christian. “His new book will be an essential resource for those seeking to navigate the fear, anxiety, and exhaustion so prevalent in today’s world.”

This book is scheduled for publication in Fall 2026. World rights were acquired by Will Anderson, Senior Editor at WaterBrook and Multnomah, from Curtis Yates and Mike Salisbury at Yates & Yates in an exclusive submission.

For rights and inquiries, please contact Denise Cronin: decronin@penguinrandomhouse.com
