Among Beers’s most significant contributions is his role as the visionary behind the New Living Translation (NLT) of the Bible. He collaborated closely with Tyndale founder Ken Taylor and longtime CEO Mark Taylor (now Chairman of the Board) to establish the Bible Translation Committee and guide a rigorous translation process involving more than 100 leading biblical scholars. Beers continues to serve on the committee as an editorial stylist.
