NPD’s forecast for Christian publishing to be presented at Leadership Summit
Kristen McLean, NPD’s executive director of business development, will return to Leadership Summit with new insights and analysis of the opportunities in Christian publishing, based on the latest reader data. According to NPD, unit sales for print books in the U.S. were the highest ever seen. Kristen will discuss what growth areas Christian publishers lean into for 2022 and beyond. The ECPA Leadership Summit will gather industry managers and executives on May 3-4 in Philadelphia to connect and learn from experts and each other.

ECPA releases access to all DEI webinar content in 2020-2021 to its members
At the request of many of its members and in partnership with ECPA’s diversity, equity and inclusion committee, ECPA has posted a library of 17 individual DEI resources so that employees of member organizations can learn from them, regardless of whether they registered for the events at which the content originally appeared. WTA Media welcomes Jenaye Merida as publishing manager and literary agent
WTA Media has added Jenaye Merida as Publishing Manager and Literary Agent. During her last six years at B&H Publishing (part of Lifeway Christian Resources), Merida filled roles in author relations as well as publicity and marketing strategy. She also served as a product spokesperson across platforms such as QVC, Amazon Live and on both sides of the microphone for popular podcasts.

Former NFL head coach and current NASCAR team owner Joe Gibbs to release book on grief with Tyndale
On April 5, Tyndale House Publishers will release “Game Plan for Loss: An Average Joe’s Guide to Dealing with Grief,” written by former NFL coach and current NASCAR team owner Joe Gibbs, sharing insights gained from Gibbs’s journey through grief after losing his son J. D. to a degenerative brain disease in 2019.
