The Christy Award® is presented to nine novels, selected as the year’s best in Christian fiction
ECPA announced the winners of The Christy Award® in nine fiction categories and The Christy Book of the Year during an online celebratory gala on October 28 with nearly 600 registered viewers. Hosted by award-winning novelist and radio host CHRIS FABRY, the Gala featured an insightful and in-depth conversation with DALLAS JENKINS (‘The Chosen’ series director, creator, and writer) with his agent STEVE LAUBE on the power of story and his writing process.
Ryan Pazdur named v-p and publisher for Zondervan Reflective and Study Resources
HarperCollins Christian Publishing has announced Ryan Pazdur’s promotion to v-p and publisher for Zondervan Reflective and Study Resources. In this role, Pazdur will lead and manage the publishing programs for both product groups, including the acquisition, editorial development, and overall title strategy.

Plough launches translated fiction program
Publishers Weekly — Plough, the Walden, N.Y.–based independent publisher of books on faith and society, will launch a new fiction in translation program with two titles by Eugene Vodolazkin, author of the international bestseller Laurus.

ECPA PubU Online begins on Wednesday with debut of Children’s Book Summit
PubU Online will gather nearly 250 Christian publishing professionals, November 3-12, to hear from 60 speakers in 30 sessions in six tracks. This week’s programming includes:

- PubU Keynote with Jennie Allen | Nov. 4
- PubU Master Classes | Nov. 5

Tyndale author Cathy Gohlke inducted into The Christy Award® Hall of Fame

The 2021 Christy Book of the Year was presented to debut novel The Edge of Belonging (Revell) by Amanda Cox – which was also named as the First Novel category winner. This is the third time in the award’s history that a debut novel was named as Book of the Year.

Zondervan announced that “The Story,” has sold more than 5 million copies across all formats. Originally released in 2005 as a stand-alone Bible project, “The Story” was developed into a church campaign in 2007.
