CT has launched its most important week of the year – The Week of Giving – and asks for your partnership to continue elevating transformative truths and sharing powerful stories. Art of Writing webinar series continues Thursday with novelists Steven James and Tracie Peterson
ECPA and The Christy Award® program presents the Art of Writing webinar series every Thursday at 7 pm central time through November 5 for writers, fans, and publishers. This Thursday will feature award-winning author STEVEN JAMES, the critically-acclaimed author of 17 novels. He is a contributing editor to Writer’s Digest Magazine and is the author of the groundbreaking book Story Trumps Structure as well as the award-winning guidebook, Troubleshooting Your Novel. He will present on “The Essence of Story: The Pathway to Transformation” and encourage writers to focus on what lies at the heart of story—tension, desire, crisis, escalation, struggle, discovery—rather than plot templates and formulas, in order to write fiction that resonates with your readers.
The session will also include a 5-minute inspirational segment from TRACIE PETERSON, an award-winning, best-selling author of over 100 books. This session is part 2 of the five-part Art of Writing webinar conference which launched last week with NYT bestselling authors Lisa Wingate and William Kent Krueger. Those who register will receive all recordings in the series.
ECPA opens registration for industry’s C-Suite executives
On November 16, 17 and 18, ECPA will present C-Suite Connect, the online version of the annual C-Suite Symposium. The program will feature two interactive webinars a day with thought leaders in the Church, Publishing, Technology, and Higher Education—as well as opportunities for breakout forums for connection and engagement among the industry’s C-suite executives. Speakers include Maria Pallante (AAP), Walter Kim (NAE), Shirley Hoogstra (CCCU), Michael Lindsay (Gordon College), and author & academic Karen Swallow Prior. The program will include a special webcast of the ECPA Industry Awards, honoring Lifetime Achievement Award recipient STAN GUNDRY and Pinnacle Award recipient STORMIE OMARTIAN.

Last week, ECPA announced 28 Finalists in nine categories for the THE CHRISTY AWARD® program in an online webcast hosted by radio host and Christy Hall of Fame author, Chris Fabry. The Christy Award® exists to celebrate excellence in the art of Christian Fiction and to honor the power of faith in story.

ECPA recognized LifeWay’s B&H Publishing for a pair of Top Shelf Book Cover Awards on October 1 via a webcast with author Ruth Chou Simons. The two B&H honors went to “For All Who Wander'' by Robin Dance and “A Holy Pursuit” by Dianne Jago. Art direction for each title was overseen respectively by Jade Novak and Susan Browne.
