Rolf Zettersten, Publisher of Hachette Nashville, to retire
Michael Pietsch, Hachette Book Group CEO, announced that Rolf Zettersten, Publisher of Hachette Nashville, has decided to retire this Fall. Rolf joined the company in July 2000 to establish a Christian publishing program, opening a Nashville office and launching an imprint that would eventually become FaithWords.

The industry’s best book designs will be announced next week on November 6, among 200 publishers including designers and art directors, during the ECPA PubU opening session with award-winning singer-songwriter and author Andrew Peterson, founder of the Nashville based arts community The Rabbit Room. Peterson will deliver the keynote on “The Mystery of Making: Our Call to Creativity as Christian Publishers.” The Top Shelf Book Cover Awards recognize the year’s best book and Bible designs and honor design excellence in the industry. A record number of submissions were received by Christian publishers this year.

Pat Chown, Claire Prodger, and Bob Wood, owners of Foundation Distributing Inc. (FDI) are pleased to announce an agreement moving all distribution and operations to Anchor Distributors in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, effective December 1st.

The ECPA Milestone Sales Award program has received a design update that includes logos for each sales award level, and seals that can be used on recipient book covers or promotions. The new Bronze Award level will now recognize sales that reach 100,000 for all titles published in 2010 or later. The ECPA Milestone Sales Award Program recognizes the following sales levels:
• Bronze Award: for titles achieving 100,000 in sales
• Gold Award: for titles achieving 500,000 in sales
• Platinum Award: for titles achieving 1 million in sales
• Diamond Award: for titles achieving 10 million in sales
The Christy Award® winners to be announced next week in Nashville at Awards Gala
Thirty Christian novels were recently named as finalists in The Christy Award® program. The winners in nine fiction categories, plus the Book of the Year, will be announced November 6 at The Christy Award Gala featuring award winning authors PATTI CALLAHAN, BECKY WADE, and JAMES RUBART – along with a special tribute to “inspirational fiction pioneer,” JANETTE OKE. Tickets are still available and include a bundle price for the preceding afternoon Art of Writing conference with LYSA TERKEURST, ANNE BOGEL, JAMES RUBART, AMY GREEN, and more.
