Over thirty Christian leaders worldwide unite in a message of love and healing

Pittsburgh, PA (September 9, 2025) — What does Christian unity look like today? In newly released Dear Unity: Overdue Love Letters to Heal a Divided Church, more than thirty Christian leaders from different dominations across the globe come together to share their personal reflections, teachings, and backstories to unite the body of Christ and heal the world. These letters of love, encouragement, and forgiveness include contributions from leaders such as Francis Chan, Darlene Zschech, Cardinal P. Raniero Cantalamessa, Nicky Gumbel, Heidi Baker, Bill Johnson, Bo Sanchez, and Randy Clark.
How did the Dear Unity Movement start?
During the Global Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in January 2024, Australian entrepreneur Philip Ryall and his wife Jennie invited more than sixty church leaders from various Christian backgrounds and denominations into their home for what they hoped would be the first of many Unity Meals around the world. The meal was such a success it turned into a movement to heal the broken relationships between churches.
What is Dear Unity’s goal?
Dear Unity brings a whole new perspective on the way we view our fellow believers, encouraging Christians to reach across the expanse of differences in dogmas and doctrines and be one in Christ. “The time has come for believers to drag Christian unity out of the Dark Ages and into the glorious light of a new global connectivity,” writes the movement’s founder and General Editor Philip Ryall.
Starting with influential figures within the global church, the Dear Unity Movement is designed to involve everyone, from the leaders to the layperson, to move beyond any past walls of division and embrace what unites us at our core. It is a new vision for Christianity, one that unites instead of divides, fostering experiences and expressions of love between brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ. Ryall is at the heart of this movement and ready to bring this message of unity, forgiveness, and understanding to as many people as possible.
Dear Unity released in August with official launches in three countries—the U.S., Canada, and Australia—with multiple guest contributors present at each. Ryall hopes to continue bringing together voices from churches far and wide.
