Hailed a ‘Magnum Opus in the Making,’ Malcolm Guite’s “Galahad and the Grail” releases today to widespread acclaim

April 20, 2026 by Sheri Toomb

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Galahad and the Grail, the debut volume in renowned British poet and priest Malcolm Guite’s highly anticipated new series, Merlin’s Isle: An Arthuriad, bows today from Rabbit Room Press, having already topped Amazon’s “Best Sellers in Religious Poetry,” “Best Sellers in Epic Poetry,” and “Best Sellers in British & Irish Poetry” charts.

Arriving to high praise from critics and fans alike, Galahad and the Grail tells of the legendary quest for the Holy Grail as reimagined through the eyes of the virtuous knight Galahad. Daniel Nayeri, author of The New York Times lauded title Everything Sad Is Untrue, calls Guite’s tale “…a magnum opus in the making,” while London’s The Times says, “…that his book exists is a glorious miracle all of its own,” and former Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams calls the work “vigorous and fresh…whets the appetite for much more.”

Celebrating the publication of Galahad and the Grail, multiple marquee events have been held around the U.S. this spring, including “An Evening with Malcolm Guite,” the book’s official Rabbit Room Press launch. Also featuring series illustrator Stephen Crotts and special musical guests The Gray Havens, Jeremy Casella, and Lydia Tabor, the March event took place in Nashville and drew attendees from across the country. In addition, last month The Trinity Forum and The Rabbit Room presented “Take Up The Tale: Bringing the Epic Tradition Into Our Time,” a special conversation with Guite at Washington, D.C.’s National Press Club.

The debut of four releases in Guite’s history-making epic cycle—the first multi-volume poetic retelling of Arthurian legend published in nearly two centuries—Galahad and the Grail honors the traditional ballad form while speaking with fresh vitality to modern readers. Hallmarked by Guite’s profound insights on courage, honor, and the spiritual journey, the story is further enhanced by more than 25 exclusive illustrations from award-winning South Carolina-based artist Stephen Crotts.

Galahad and the Grail’s immediate resonance fuels anticipation for The Coming of Arthur, the second volume in the Merlin’s Isle series. Releasing November 2 from Rabbit Room Press, preorders for The Coming of Arthur have landed the forthcoming title on multiple Amazon bestseller lists to date.

MetaComet® Systems now offers free implementation for all new Royalty Tracker® customers

April 20, 2026 by Sheri Toomb

Publisher of leading rights and royalty software eliminates the primary barrier to switching platforms, covering setup, training, and data migration at no additional cost

NORTHAMPTON, MA — April 20, 2026 — MetaComet® Systems, the publishing industry’s leading provider of rights and royalty management software, today announced that all new Royalty Tracker® subscriptions will include free implementation at no additional cost beyond the monthly subscription.

Implementation has long represented a significant financial and operational barrier for publishers considering a switch from their existing royalty management systems. Industry estimates place implementation costs for competing platforms at anywhere from $5,000 to well over $100,000, with project timelines that can stretch for months, and some cases, fail to reach completion at all. MetaComet’s new free implementation program eliminates that barrier entirely.

The program covers the full scope of onboarding through MetaComet’s proprietary MetaGoLive® process, which the company has refined over more than 200 implementations since its founding in 1999. Included at no charge are: account setup and configuration, guided by a dedicated customer success specialist; hands-on team training; and complete data migration.

“The traditional model for software implementation puts all the risk on the customer. They pay up front, the vendor gets paid for however long the project takes, and if something goes wrong, the publisher is left holding the bill,” said David Marlin, President of MetaComet Systems. “We think that’s backwards. By making implementation free, we’re putting our own competence on the line. We succeed when the customer is up and running quickly and accurately, exactly as it should be.”

The MetaGoLive® onboarding process includes parallel runs of one to two royalty periods on a representative set of contracts, enabling customers to validate calculation accuracy before going live. Migrated data is reviewed and approved by the customer in a staging environment prior to promotion to production. New customers are required to prepay a six-month subscription to reserve an implementation slot, after which the full onboarding process begins.

While no-cost or subsidized onboarding has become more common across the broader software-as-a-service industry, it remains rare in the royalty management vertical. MetaComet’s offering is available to all new Royalty Tracker subscribers regardless of catalog size or contract volume, from startup publishers to established houses managing tens of thousands of titles.

“Publishers tell us they know they need a better system, but the thought of migrating years of data and retraining their team is what stops them from making the move,” Marlin added. “With free implementation, that conversation changes completely. You get a modern, proven royalty system, without the risk of an expensive, time-consuming migration.”

Free implementation is available immediately to all new Royalty Tracker customers. Publishers interested in learning more or scheduling a consultation can visit metacomet.com or contact the MetaComet sales team directly at sales@metacomet.com.

FrontGate Media expands portfolio with Family Research Council, Kevin Sorbo, Sam Sorbo, and Pastor Greg Locke

April 19, 2026 by Sheri Toomb

The new advertising and promotion representation agreements strengthen FrontGate’s ability to connect brands with high-trust Christian and conservative audiences.

April 14, 2026 – Orange County, CA — Building on the momentum of its 25th anniversary year, FrontGate Media announced today that it has expanded its advertising and promotion representation portfolio with four new strategic relationships: faith, family, and freedom advocacy organization Family Research Council, faith-and-family media personalities Kevin Sorbo and Sam Sorbo, and Pastor, author, and conservative Christian media personality Greg Locke. The additions further strengthen FrontGate’s ability to connect advertisers, sponsors, media buyers, and promotional partners with high-trust Christian and conservative audiences across digital, social, broadcast, podcast, and live-platform ecosystems.

The new representation agreements reflect FrontGate Media’s continued expansion as a trade-facing partner for brands and organizations seeking more effective ways to reach engaged, conviction-led consumers. For marketers navigating an increasingly fragmented media environment, these new additions give FrontGate broader access to established platforms and personalities that already command trust and attention within Christian and conservative audiences.

“Over the last 25 years, we’ve seen again and again that trust is the real differentiator in this market,” said Scott A. Shuford, Founder & Chief Engagement Officer of FrontGate Media. “These new representation agreements are a major step forward for FrontGate and for the brands we serve. Family Research Council, Kevin Sorbo, Sam Sorbo, and Pastor Greg Locke each bring a distinct kind of influence, credibility, and audience connection. Together, they expand our ability to create strategic campaigns that reach Christian and conservative audiences in ways that are authentic, culturally relevant, and built for results.”

Family Research Council adds a powerful policy, culture, and advocacy platform to FrontGate’s representation portfolio. Based in Washington, D.C., FRC is widely known for championing faith, family, and freedom in public policy and culture from a biblical worldview. Through its digital properties, email outreach, broadcast programming, and social media presence, Family Research Council provides advertisers and promotional partners with access to a highly engaged audience of donors, voters, parents, pastors, and organizational leaders.

Kevin Sorbo brings FrontGate one of the most recognizable names in faith-friendly and conservative entertainment media. Best known to mainstream audiences for his work as an actor, director, and producer, Sorbo continues to maintain strong visibility through film, speaking, publishing, and social media. His platform appeals to entertainment audiences, faith-based consumers, and values-driven households, making him a strong option for campaigns seeking broad recognition alongside a trusted audience connection.

Sam Sorbo strengthens FrontGate’s access to family-centered, education-minded, and parent-engaged audiences. As an actress, author, producer, host, speaker, and education advocate, she has built a loyal following around faith, family, homeschooling, and parental rights.

Taken together, the Sorbos offer a compelling combination of entertainment recognition, family-values credibility, and issue-based audience engagement. Their ability to connect with audiences both separately and together gives brands and organizations additional options for customized campaigns, promotions, and media partnerships.

Pastor Greg Locke expands FrontGate’s access to a large-scale, high-engagement personality brand at the intersection of faith media, cultural commentary, and digital influence. Known as an author, speaker, and media personality, Locke has built a substantial audience across social and digital platforms, with strong visibility through podcasting, video content, live speaking, and faith-based cultural commentary. His reach gives advertisers and promotional partners access to highly responsive Christian and conservative audiences that are deeply engaged online.

The announcement underscores FrontGate Media’s broader strategy during its 25th anniversary year: deepen representation relationships, expand audience access points, and help brands move beyond generic faith-market buying into more targeted, trust-based campaigns. As FrontGate continues to grow its tactical portfolio, the company further solidifies its position as the primary gateway to the Christian Audience, focused on helping advertisers and media buyers reach Christian and conservative audiences through strategic partnerships built on relevance, credibility, and results.

Penguin Random House Christian Publishing Group acquires She Reads Truth

April 19, 2026 by Sheri Toomb

The Acquisition Builds PRH Christian’s Direct-to-Consumer Platform and Underscores Its Investment in Bible Resources

Colorado Springs, CO (April 13, 2026)—Penguin Random House Christian Publishing Group, a division of Penguin Random House, has acquired She Reads Truth, an influential direct-to-consumer publisher focused on building a community of women who together interact with the Bible every day. The acquisition was announced today by Manuel Sansigre, Chief Financial Officer, Penguin Random House, and Campbell Wharton, PRH Christian SVP and Publisher, together with She Reads Truth Co-founders Raechel Myers and Amanda Bible Williams. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

She Reads Truth will become a new imprint of PRH Christian and join its direct-to-consumer platform, Grace Corner, while retaining its distinct identity and mission. Co-founders Myers and Williams will continue to shepherd the brand’s vision and host the She Reads Truth podcast.

“What started as a simple invitation to read the Bible together has grown into a global community,” said Raechel Myers. “We are deeply grateful for the women who have been part of this journey, and we are excited for this next chapter, one that will allow She Reads Truth to continue creating beautiful, theologically rich resources for years to come.”

“From the beginning, She Reads Truth has been about helping women engage with Scripture in meaningful, accessible ways,” said Amanda Bible Williams. “Joining PRH Christian positions us to expand that mission with greater scale and support, while remaining faithful to the heart of our community.”

“She Reads Truth is a community rooted in daily engagement with God’s Word and strengthened by meaningful connection,” said Campbell Wharton. “The authenticity of their voice and biblical teaching, the beauty of their products, and their passion for Scripture have cultivated extraordinary trust and loyalty among women around the world. We are delighted to welcome She Reads Truth and their vibrant audience to PRH Christian and are committed to stewarding and expanding this inspiring mission.”

“Since establishing our Christian Publishing Group, we have pursued a clear strategy to build on more than 30 years of leadership in this space—growing organically, through thoughtful acquisitions, and through the development of Grace Corner,” said Manuel Sansigre. “She Reads Truth is a natural and powerful extension of that vision, and we are truly excited about all that we can do together to serve and grow this community.”

Founded in 2012, She Reads Truth has grown into a thriving community of women who connect through its website, app, email newsletters, subscription offerings, and social media channels, which feature thoughtfully curated Bible reading plans and devotionals meant to illuminate the inherent beauty, goodness, and truth of God’s Word. Its distinctive aesthetic, mission-driven focus, and strong community have established She Reads Truth as a trusted voice in Christian women’s publishing.

The acquisition reflects PRH Christian’s commitment to expanding its Bible resources across formats and platforms, and to building deeper, direct relationships with readers seeking meaningful engagement with Scripture. As part of Penguin Random House, She Reads Truth will benefit from the global reach and operational excellence of one of the world’s leading publishers, along with PRH Christian’s ongoing commitment to Christian readers, empowering the brand to further serve its devoted community and welcome new readers into it.

Penguin Random House Christian Publishing Group was launched in 2024 to expand readership, strengthen connections with audiences, and deepen PRH’s range of books and content offerings for Christian readers. The division is made up of seven distinct imprints—WaterBrook, Multnomah, Image, Forum, Ink & Willow, WaterBrook Children’s, and Align Insight—with an emphasis on helping readers grow in their relationship with God. TODAY, NBC, and more feature bestselling authors Sissy Goff & David Thomas as CAPABLE gains national attention

April 19, 2026 by Sheri Toomb

Parenting Experts Launch New Book with National Media and Nine-City Book Tour This Week

Nashville, TN (April 20, 2026)  –  Expert therapists and bestselling authors Sissy Goff and David Thomas combat the childhood crisis of capability on the national stage as they launch their latest release, Capable: How to Teach Your Kids Strength, Skills, and Strategies to Build Resilience (Baker Publishing, April 21). On Wednesday, April 22, the pair will be featured live on The TODAY Show (airs 9:40 am ET), and NBC News Now (1:45 pm and 3:45 pm ET). In this book launch season, they will also be featured on The Parenting Chat with Dylan Dreyer, Couple Things with Shawn Johnson and Andrew East, That Sounds Fun with Annie F. Downs, Christianity Today, 1000 Hours Outside, Dadville, Don’t Mom Alone and many, many more.

In these interviews, Sissy and David will speak on modern parenting’s biggest issues, such as:

  • What does it actually mean for a child to be capable?
  • What are the common pitfalls for capability–for kids and parents?
  • What role do parents have in developing confidence and competence for their children?
  • Is AI helping or hindering parents’ and kids’ belief that they have what it takes?

Drawing from more than fifty years of combined counseling experience at Daystar Counseling Ministries in Nashville, Sissy and David provide parents with practical tools to cultivate capability in children—an internal confidence that empowers them to face adversity with resilience. Together they advocate that raising capable kids isn’t about shielding them from struggle but preparing them to meet it with courage. They teach parents how to help their children believe, deep down, “I can do this”—whether that means overcoming frustration and disappointment, managing conflict with peers, or standing firm in who they are and who God made them to be.

In addition to their national media appearances, David and Sissy kick off a nine-city tour this week to connect face-to-face with families in the trenches of parenting. They will speak to parents about how sturdy is better than success, healthy is more important than happy, and resilience lasts longer than relief or rescue.

HarperCollins Christian Publishing announces leadership updates

April 12, 2026 by Sheri Toomb

Bob Edington, Senior Vice President of Content Operations and Supply Chain, has decided to move on from his role at HarperCollins Christian Publishing (HCCP), effective September 4, 2026. For nearly two decades, Bob has been an integral part of our company, leaving a lasting mark through his leadership and dedication. Bob joined Thomas Nelson in June 2006, where he helped grow our direct-to-consumer business and led the company’s launch into ebooks. Throughout his time at HCCP, Bob has been instrumental in applying technology to content in innovative ways, enabling reuse across multiple formats, and collaborating with divisional partners to implement our content workflow system. Bob’s passion for developing highly effective, cross-functional teams has been invaluable in supporting our publishing imprints and sales channels. His leadership has encompassed book and Bible design, art direction, production for physical and digital formats, inventory management, and customer service. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Bob also successfully led our manufacturing diversification efforts during a time of significant supply chain uncertainty.

Randy Bishop will be promoted to Vice President, Production, continuing to oversee the HCCP Bible and Book print production team, overseeing key areas such as cost management, supplier development, and continuous improvement. Randy began his career at Zondervan Publishing House in May 1989 as a Market Research Intern before finding his true calling in Production, where he has dedicated the last 34 years to driving innovation and excellence. Over the past six years, Randy has spearheaded our supply chain diversification efforts, successfully transitioning to new suppliers that meet our high standards for manufacturing quality and service.

Randy will report to Charlotte Veaney, Group Production and Global Sourcing Director, who is based in London. Charlotte leads the group production team and manages the long-term strategic relationships with HarperCollins’s largest key suppliers globally, in addition to leading the business’s global contract renewal program and local print negotiations for outside the US. As part of her expanded role, Charlotte will join the HCCP Executive Leadership Team.

Seth Matlock, Senior Director, Inventory, will report to Doug Menake, Vice President, Inventory, with a dotted line to Troy Edens. This new structure allows us to align with HarperCollins Trade as we anticipate moving to a new US distribution center, while still maintaining the unique aspects of the Bible business. Under Seth’s leadership the Inventory team will continue to balance inventory value with high order fill rates, ensuring customer demand is met.

Lastly, Shannon Droge, Vice President, Publishing Operations, will report to Mark Schoenwald, President and Chief Executive Officer, HarperCollins Christian Publishing, and will join the Executive Leadership Team. She will continue to oversee publishing operations, including managing editorial, data integrity, book and Bible composition, and content operations. Shannon will also drive strategic initiatives such as editorial AI adoption and organizational transformation and lead efforts to unite teams responsible for critical functions including title information management, digital assets, prepress, and creative direction for our book and Bible products.

April 12, 2026 by Sheri Toomb

Lake Mary, FL—Embolden Media Group is proud to announce that six-time GRAMMY Award-winning worship artist, pastor, and entrepreneur Naomi Raine has signed with the agency for literary representation.

Raine’s music has shaped the worship lives of a generation. A founding voice in the Maverick City Music movement, she is widely recognized for her ability to create music that is theologically grounded, emotionally resonant, and accessible across cultural and denominational lines. Her viral anthem “Pour Me Out” and her live record Cover The Earth have become touchstones for a generation of believers hungry to live surrendered lives. In addition to her six GRAMMY wins, Raine has earned nine GRAMMY nominations across two consecutive years and has received NAACP Image Awards, BET Awards, Billboard Awards, Stellar Awards, and Dove Awards.

“I’ve always communicated most naturally through song—through lyrics and melodies that carry what words alone sometimes can’t,” Raine shared. “Writing a book feels like a natural next step in that same obedience. I’m grateful to walk into this new season with a team that genuinely understands the vision and the heart behind what I do.”

Raine’s forthcoming work will invite readers into the same presence-filled, grace-saturated space her music has always occupied—exploring faith, surrender, and the unrelenting love of a God who meets us in our deepest places.

“Naomi carries something rare—a voice that has already shaped the worship landscape of a generation, and a depth of pastoral wisdom that is made for the page,” said Jevon Bolden, founder and CEO of Embolden Media Group. “I believe the books she will write will do what her music has already done: draw people into the presence of God and open space for encounter, leaving them changed forever. It is a joy and an honor to advocate for her next season.”

Further details about Raine’s forthcoming projects will be announced soon.

Naomi Raine is a six-time GRAMMY Award-winning worship artist, producer, musician, pastor, and entrepreneur. A co-founder of the Maverick City Music movement, she has performed on the GRAMMY Awards stage two consecutive years and has been recognized by the BET Awards, NAACP Image Awards, Billboard Awards, Stellar Awards, and Dove Awards. IVP celebrates two finalists in 2026 Christian Book Award® program

April 12, 2026 by Sheri Toomb

April 2026 | LISLE, IL—The Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) has announced that two InterVarsity Press (IVP) titles—Rebecca Sue and What Gen Z Really Wants to Know About God—are among the finalists for the 2026 Christian Book Award® program.

Written by five-time New York Times bestselling author Kathleen Norris, Rebecca Sue: A Sister’s Reflections on Disability, Faith, and Love ventures into new territory for the author as she shares an intimate portrait of her younger sister. Becky’s life was shaped by lifelong mental and physical disabilities, and Norris paints a picture of Becky’s complex life, from her hopes, sense of humor, frustrations, and hardships to her journey from bitterness and anger to a life characterized by gratitude.

Norris said, “When Rebecca told me, ‘You should write a book about me, so I can be famous like you,’ I recognized it as a call. It’s been an honor to explore my relationship with my sister and try to present her in all her complexity.”

Rebecca Sue is a finalist in the Biography & Memoir category of the 2026 Christian Book Award® program. Norris’ New York Times bestsellers include The Cloister Walk; Acedia & Me: A Marriage, Monks, and a Writer’s Life; Dakota: A Spiritual Geography; Amazing Grace: A Vocabulary of Faith; The Virgin of Bennington; and several volumes of poetry.

Norris has contracted a second book with IVP, Finding God in the Desert, that is tentatively scheduled to release in fall 2027.

The other IVP Christian Book Award® finalist, chosen for the Ministry Resources category, is a book that provides insights into the seven key questions Gen Z is asking about life and faith, offering actionable advice tailored to their values and worldview. What Gen Z Really Wants to Know About God: Seven Questions About Life and Faith, written by veteran youth worker Tanita Tualla Maddox, goes beyond just answering questions—it explores how to translate the unchanging truths of the gospel into Gen Z’s cultural context.

Maddox is the national director for generational impact for Young Life and serves as an associate regional director in the Mountain West Young Life region.

“Right now, the church is answering questions Gen Z is not asking while ignoring the ones they do ask. This furthers a disconnection between the Christian faith and the realities of everyday life for Gen Z,” Maddox writes. “When we ignore the questions Gen Z is asking, Gen Z doesn’t have an opportunity to see how the Bible is relevant to the longings of their hearts and souls. This means the conversation around faith and the gospel does not intersect the worldview or experience of Gen Z in a meaningful way, even though it could! After all, the gospel is good news for everyone, everywhere, throughout time.”

The Christian Book Award® program has recognized the highest quality in Christian books since 1978 (originally called the Gold Medallion Award). Based on excellence in content, literary quality, design, and impact, the 2026 Christian Book Awards® are the oldest and among the most prestigious awards in religious publishing.

Winners in each category, along with the 2026 Christian Book of the Year®, will be announced April 28 at the ECPA Awards Celebration, held at the Chicago Marriott Schaumburg during the ECPA Leadership Summit.
