Christianity Today — Frederick Buechner was asked on numerous occasions how he would sum up everything he had preached and written in both his fiction and nonfiction. The answer, he said, was simply this: “Listen to your life.”

PubU Marketing and Editorial sessions posted for November event in Nashville
Held November 16-17 in Nashville for Christian publishing professionals, ECPA PubU will feature more than 30 sessions in several training tracks for Christian publishing professionals, including: Marketing, Editorial, Design, Production & Ops, and a Children’s Book Summit. The completed programs for the Editorial track (developed by Moody’s Trillia Newbell and David C Cook’s Susan McPherson) and the Marketing track (developed by HCCP’s Bob Gaudet and Kregel’s Katherine Chappell) are now posted at ECPAPubU.org.

First-ever Society of Bible Craftsmanship to launch at Museum of the Bible Conference

Two IVP Kids titles named finalists for Jerry Pinkney Children’s Book Awards
Two IVP Kids titles have been named finalists for the first annual Jerry Pinkney Children’s Book Awards. “The Celebration Place” and “Josey Johnson’s Hair and the Holy Spirit” are two of five finalists in the religion category. The Jerry Pinkney Children’s Book Awards are sponsored by the National Black Book Festival (NBBF) and were established in honor of the late Jerry Pinkney, a world-renowned children’s book illustrator.
