Paraclete Press to release devotional to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary

March 15, 2026 by Sheri Toomb

Lift Up Your Prayers, Reclaim Hope, and  Intercede Boldly As We Celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary

Be part of God’s story for America – one devotion, one prayer, one day at a time.

Orleans MA – March 9, 2026 In the lead-up to the 250th anniversary celebration of America’s founding, our government, churches, and ministries nation-wide have called for renewed faith and prayer for the future of the United States and for a reclaiming of America’s founding vision and spiritual heritage. Perfectly timed to release on April 7, 2026, a new 60-day devotional guide provides a daily roadmap for believers to offer prayer and praise and to lay claim on God’s promises with God Bless America: Scriptures, Devotions & Prayers for Our Nation.

With historical reflections, meditations, Scriptures, and prayer prompts, each daily devotion invites readers to lift up their hearts to a Sovereign Creator who delights in the prayers of his people. Inspiring quotes drawn from America’s founding and spiritual legacy encourage us to live out “In God, we trust.”

“I prayed for direction before writing God Bless America. I was excited about the book, having grown up with parents who feared God and loved this country. Initially, I set out to brush up on our history and the people who shaped it. God had other plans for guiding me through this project,” said Bonnie Rickner Jensen, author. “His direction was to go further back, to the one truth we should be standing on: From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. (Acts 17:26). It is God who established this nation. He birthed it through the hearts of the brave men and women who prayed for His mercy and saw His hand move. We fall into the trap of our real enemy by allowing hatred and division to prevail in our hearts, even in the slightest measure. God built this nation. Our fear of God will sustain it.”

Lillian Miao, Director of Paraclete Press, said, “As we look toward the 250 Anniversary of America, our belief that the United States is one nation under God from its founding as declared by the Founding Fathers, inspired us to gather prayers, meditations, and scriptures that reflect the 250 years of faith history in this book. By sharing the Christian values that are in our founding documents, our national hymns and songs, inscriptions in monuments and national buildings in Washington, DC, and quotes from the Founding Fathers and past presidents, we celebrate the birth, the growth, the struggles of our nation. As we pray each day for our leaders and government, we join the ranks of those who have faithfully and courageously kept this nation on the path to freedom and we link arms with our readers to seek God’s wisdom, guidance, and unity in the days ahead.”

Over the 60-day journey with God Bless America, readers will encounter thought-provoking reflections and powerful Scriptures designed to deepen faith and embolden prayers. With space to respond and journal, this devotion will draw them closer to God—offering fresh hope, encouragement, and renewed strength to stand in the gap for the future of the United States of America and the world.

A perfect companion for personal devotion or group Bible study, this journal offers:

  • 60 devotions specifically centered on a word associated with being an American citizen
  • References to national monuments, public buildings, quotes, songs and hymns that reflect biblical expressions of freedom, remembrance, hope, and unity
  • Ample space for heartfelt reflection and personal prayers
  • Guided questions to inspire reflection and intercession
  • More than 150 Scripture verses of strength and encouragement

Believers are called to seek God’s will, intercede for others, and turn our hearts to heaven. In God Bless America: Scriptures, Devotions & Prayers for Our Nation, readers will lift up America, its leaders, and its future, standing in faith, praying boldly to the One who rules over all.

Life throws so much at us. Disappointments, failures, challenges, and even devastating loss. He reminds us that we were create not just to survive but to live in full bloom But first, Joel says, we must come out of hiding and reclaim those parts of ourselves that have been withered by the fires of life. We must actively choose to lay aside the bitterness, the shame, the self-defeating messages we tell ourselves and then embrace, in faith, the vision of who and what we can become—the very best version of ourselves.

Rich with scriptural teaching as well as personal testimonies that will uplift and enlighten, Rediscovering the Forgotten You is the reminder you need to help you rediscover and then become the person you were created to be.

Jennie Allen’s latest book, THE LIE YOU DON’T KNOW YOU BELIEVE, debuts at No. 7 on the New York Times Best Seller List

March 15, 2026 by Sheri Toomb

March 13, 2026 – Jennie Allen’s transformative new book, The Lie You Don’t Know You Believe: How to Find It, Fight It, and Live Free, debuted on the New York Times Best Seller List at #7 and at #8 on Publishers Weekly Bestseller List. Blending biblical wisdom, neuroscience, and lived experience, Allen helps readers confront the unseen lies shaping their thoughts, relationships, and sense of worth—offering a practical pathway to uncover hidden falsehoods and discover the truth that leads to genuine freedom and lasting change.

“In a world overloaded with pressure and distraction, many of us feel an undercurrent of anxiety or dissatisfaction we can’t quite name,” Allen says. “The lie we don’t know we believe is often the most powerful force shaping our lives. Freedom begins the moment we dare to name it.”

Drawing from her own journey with her own core lie and her work discipling millions through IF:Gathering and Gather25 (a vision to mobilize the global Church), Allen identifies three core lies that shape nearly every human story: I am helpless. I am unlovable. I am worthless. Each of these beliefs can subtly infiltrate our identity and relationships, leading to burnout, shame, and disconnection.

Through a blend of spiritual truth and practical strategy, The Lie You Don’t Know You Believe shows readers how to:

  • Spot the three core lies running their lives
  • Trace where those false beliefs took root
  • Replace destructive narratives with lasting truth
  • Build a lifestyle of emotional resilience, mental clarity, and spiritual freedom

More than just another self-help book, Allen’s message connects the sacred and the practical, providing both faith-based insights and practical steps for mental and emotional well-being. Whether she’s speaking in a church, a stadium, or on her podcast, Allen’s voice resonates with anyone who feels stuck, striving, or searching for peace.

“True freedom isn’t about being perfect; it’s about being honest,” Allen says. “Vulnerability is the key to building the deeper connections we all crave.”

HarperCollins Christian Publishing announces major five-book deal with ‘In Totality’ podcast host Megan Ashley

March 15, 2026 by Sheri Toomb

Nashville, TN – March 16, 2026 – HarperCollins Christian Publishing is pleased to announce the signing of Megan Ashley, the dynamic host of the fast-growing podcast In Totality, under a significant five-book agreement. The deal includes two trade books with Nelson Books, two curriculum projects with HarperCollins Resources, and one devotional, marking a major expansion of Ashley’s ministry from audio to print. Her highly anticipated debut trade book is scheduled for release in the fall of 2027.

Ashley’s debut work will challenge the notion of a “cotton candy gospel,” inviting readers to move beyond superficial belief into a deep, resilient, and beautiful faith. Drawing on Romans 12 and the book of Acts, the book will explore the idea of offering one’s mind, body, and soul as a living sacrifice. It offers a bold invitation for believers, whether new to the faith or lifelong followers, to say “yes” to God with their whole selves, shaping how they live, work, and move in the world.

“Megan’s distinctive way of sharing her life experiences through the lens of spirituality is bold, compelling, and thoughtful,” said Brigitta Nortker, Associate Publisher, Nelson Books. “We are so incredibly excited to partner with her to bring these biblically grounded, inspiring messages to her readers.”

Stephanie Newton, Vice President and Publisher, Thomas Nelson, Zondervan, and DaySpring Gift, expressed, “We’re honored to partner with Megan, whose authentic voice and unwavering commitment to biblical truth have made her a trusted voice for those navigating faith and life. Through this gift book, we’re excited to extend her Spirit-led wisdom beyond the mic and into the hands of readers everywhere.”

World Rights for the project were negotiated by Senior Literary Agent Trinity McFadden with The Bindery.

Ashley shared her enthusiasm for this new chapter in her ministry. “God has called me to be transparent about my journey with humility and vulnerability, from the valleys of depression to the mountains of His grace and many mercies. Writing these books is an extension of that obedience and worship to the One who saved my life. My prayer is that this work will serve as a wake-up call for us to stop holding back parts of our lives from God. A Holy charge to take Him, His love, His Word, and His return serious. True freedom is found when we surrender everything—our struggles, our parenting, our mental health, our bodies, in totality to Him. May the God of our salvation be glorified and praised in every page.”

About Megan Ashley
Born in Columbus, Ohio, and currently residing in Atlanta, Georgia, Ashley is a single mother to three boys. Her ministry is deeply informed by her real-life challenges, including navigating her son’s diagnosis of autism and Fragile X syndrome, as well as her own past battles with mental health. Since launching in November 2023, her podcast In Totality has become a sanctuary for listeners seeking vulnerability and wisdom rooted in God’s Word.

IVP appoints Jon Boyd to Vice President of Editorial and names Cindy Bunch Senior Editor-at-Large

March 15, 2026 by Sheri Toomb

March 2026 | LISLE, IL—InterVarsity Press (IVP) has appointed Jon Boyd as the new divisional vice president of editorial and associate publisher. IVP is also pleased to announce that Cindy Bunch has been named senior editor-at-large.

Bunch has worked at IVP for more than thirty-seven years, including ten years as associate publisher and director/vice president of editorial. “I am deeply grateful for Cindy’s many years of faithful service leading our editorial team. Her steady influence has shaped IVP’s editorial culture, accompanied authors with care, and helped steward our publishing work with theological depth and integrity,” said Terumi Echols, publisher and president at IVP.

As senior editor-at-large, Bunch will continue to acquire spiritual formation books, lead writing workshops, and shape LifeGuide Bible Studies, a project she has led since 1990. She will move into this new role on June 1.

Boyd has worked at IVP for more than fourteen years. He joined IVP as the digital communications manager in 2012, was named associate academic editorial director in 2016, and has been the academic editorial director since 2017. He will fill Bunch’s position as divisional vice president of editorial and associate publisher on April 1.

“There have been only three editorial leaders in IVP’s 79-year history: James W. Sire, Andrew T. Le Peau, and myself,” Bunch said. “I am so pleased that Jon Boyd will carry the torch as the new leader of the editorial department. Jon brings an understanding of who we are and passion for our unique place in the publishing world. This is paired with his optimistic vision for the future. He’s brought both stability and innovation to the academic department during his tenure in editorial, and I expect that he will do the same for the whole department. I look forward to carrying out my own role acquiring and developing books for IVP Formatio under his leadership.”

Boyd said, “What an honor and privilege it is for me to come along in the line of IVP’s previous heads of editorial, all giants of Christian publishing stretching back to the 1970s. The editorial program they created is going strong, which is what makes it even thinkable for me to dare to follow in their footsteps.”

Before joining IVP, Boyd held leadership positions in communications at North Park University. He also served as the web producer for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship for four years and as associate director of InterVarsity’s Graduate and Faculty Ministry from 2000 to 2009. Boyd received his bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Michigan, a master’s in Hebrew Bible from Trinity International University, and a PhD in history from Johns Hopkins University.

“Jon brings a rare combination of scholarly depth, publishing expertise, heart for ministry, and long-standing service to InterVarsity,” Echols said. “For nearly fourteen years he has served IVP with steady commitment, thoughtful leadership, and deep care for our publishing mission. We are grateful for his leadership thus far and for the qualities he brings to this role. He is relational and trusted by colleagues and authors. He is attentive to data that helps us steward IVP’s resources wisely. He is a quick study who asks thoughtful questions and brings fresh thinking to complex challenges. Most importantly, Jon understands who we are as a ministry and is prayerful and discerning about the future of IVP’s publishing program.”

Boyd said, “IVP has been breaking the rules since our first book in 1947 (a Bible study written by a woman), and ever since then we’ve joyfully gone about our mission of amplifying the voices of people with important things to say, even if they had been silenced by the usual gatekeepers. Some of those rules have changed, sometimes for better, sometimes for worse—so all the time we face fresh challenges. We’ll keep working on the best ways to use print and digital media, human intelligence, and Christian faithfulness to equip believers with the insights and encouragement they need to face what’s next.”

“If Only We Could See” invites readers into life of artist-missionary Lilias Trotter

March 15, 2026 by Sheri Toomb

BRENTWOOD, Tenn., March 13, 2026—Author and artist Jennifer Trafton offers readers a portrait of faith, imagination and vocation in her latest book, “If Only We Could See: Reimagining Creativity, Compassion, and Calling through the Extraordinary Life of Lilias Trotter,” releasing April 14, 2026, from B&H Publishing Group.

In “If Only We Could See,” Trafton brings new life to the story of Lilias Trotter, a gifted 19th-century artist whose work drew the praise of famed critic John Ruskin and whose radical decision to turn away from artistic acclaim led her instead to the overlooked communities of London and, later, to the deserts of North Africa. Blending biography, theological reflection and personal engagement, Trafton invites readers into Trotter’s world, where artistic vision and spiritual devotion were inseparably intertwined.

“It’s my hope that readers are inspired by Lilias to rediscover wonder, embrace a calling to creative compassion, and reimagine what faithfulness can look like in everyday life,” said Trafton. “In our deeply divided culture, more than ever we need a new way of seeing—and Lilias offers exactly that, an attentive, generous way of being in the world that can reawaken our joy and transform our community.”

While most readers have yet to learn of Lilias Trotter, many have experienced the influence of her work in the hymn, “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus,” which was directly inspired by her writings.

Rather than offering a conventional biography, “If Only We Could See” draws readers into a personal encounter with Trotter as her friends knew her: a visionary who approached life with an artist’s eye and a missionary’s heart. Readers are encouraged to see both the world and their neighbors anew—and to consider what the book calls a “beautiful possible life.”

Jennifer Trafton is a storyteller and artist with a passion for exploring the intersections of faith, creativity and the arts. She studied church history and theology at Wake Forest University, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and Duke University. Trafton has been a regular conference speaker, writer, teacher, editor and illustrator for the Nashville-based Rabbit Room creative community for over a decade. Her novels for children, “The Rise and Fall of Mount Majestic” and “Henry and the Chalk Dragon,” received starred reviews and multiple award nominations, and she has since collaborated on or contributed to a wide array of projects including “The Wingfeather Tales,” “The Lost Tales of Sir Galahad” and “Every Moment Holy, Vol. III: The Work of the People.”

B&H Publishing Group, an imprint of Lifeway Christian Resources, is a team that believes Every Word Matters®. We seek to provide intentional, biblical content that positively impacts the hearts and minds of people, cultivating lifelong relationships with Jesus Christ. We publish (print and digital) in the trade, church and academic markets, as well as the CSB translation. For more information, visit BHPublishingGroup.com.
